Junction 12 is the turn for Toddington, right beside the motorway, and Harlington on the A5120. Flitwick is a little over three miles north. It is a quieter rural junction, with Fancott close by. Toddington Services is between Junctions 11A and 12. Barton Hills National Nature Reserve is about four and a half miles east.

Toddington and Harlington are small places, and Junction 12 links them to the motorway for residents, visitors and anyone calling in for work.
