Junction 40 at Flushdyke links the M1 to the A638 for Wakefield and Dewsbury, with Ossett just a mile west. Flanshaw and Lupset are close by. Pinderfields Hospital is about three miles east. Dewsbury Rams' ground is about two and a half miles north-west.
