Map of M1 Junctions 37 to 47: Wakefield and Leeds

The last section takes the M1 past Barnsley and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, round the west of Wakefield, across the M62 at Lofthouse and into south Leeds, where it bends east past Rothwell and Garforth to join the A1(M) near Aberford.

Leeds commuters, drivers changing to the M62 for Manchester or Hull, and visitors to Wakefield and the Sculpture Park all use this section. The map shows how the motorway wraps round the south and east of Leeds before handing over to the A1(M).
