M1 Junction 2: Five Ways Corner (A1, A41)
Junction 2 at Five Ways Corner is a southbound exit and northbound entry with the A1 and the A41. Mill Hill and Colindale are the districts either side. The RAF Museum's Hangar 1 is under a mile south, and the StoneX Stadium, home of Saracens rugby, is under a mile east. London Gateway Services is about two and a half miles north-west, the first services heading north.
Mill Hill and Colindale residents, couriers working north-west London, and people driving in for the first time to visit friends join the M1 here. The map, the junctions either side and our own records are all on this page.
The A1 here heads north to join the A1(M) at South Mimms, by the M25's Junction 23. If the M1 is blocked further north, the A1(M) is the main alternative route up the country; check it first on A1M Traffic ↗ (opens in a new tab).

NOTE: The speed flow, overhead sign messages or other information shown on our live traffic speed flow map is updated every few minutes. We cross check the data and aim to provide warnings if there could be a delay or an inaccurate speed reading. There can be occasions, beyond our control, and despite our best efforts where the speed flow could be inaccurate. We cannot therefore guarantee the speed you can expect on any stretch of the motorway is always accurately shown. However we hope you will find our live traffic speed flow map a useful tool in trying to plan your journey. Safe driving.
