Map of M1 Junctions 6A to 14: St Albans, Luton and Milton Keynes

North of the M25 the M1 climbs out through Hertfordshire, past St Albans and Hemel Hempstead, then Luton and its airport, and on into Bedfordshire to Milton Keynes. Junction 10 is the airport junction, and junction 13 sits among the large warehouses around Ridgmont and Marston Gate.

For airport passengers, shift workers at the distribution sites and Milton Keynes commuters, this is the busiest part of their week. The map puts Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Harpenden and Woburn in their real places beside the motorway.

The road on the map is coloured by the live traffic flow speed, the same data as our live M1 traffic flow map. Choose northbound or southbound above the map. Tap any junction number to open that junction’s own page.

Showing live speeds northbound. The map shows one direction at a time; tap the other button to switch. For both directions side by side, with every sign and incident, see the live M1 speed flow map.
