Map of M1 Junctions 30 to 37: Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley

Here the M1 comes into South Yorkshire. It passes Worksop and Staveley, crosses the M18 at junction 32, runs along the eastern edge of Sheffield past the Advanced Manufacturing Park and Meadowhall, then climbs past Rotherham, Hoyland and Barnsley.

Meadowhall shoppers, people working in Sheffield and Rotherham, and families heading for Rother Valley or Gulliver's Valley use this stretch every day. The Tinsley Viaduct, the double-deck bridge over the Don valley, carries the M1 between junctions 34 and 35.

The road on the map is coloured by the live traffic flow speed, the same data as our live M1 traffic flow map. Choose northbound or southbound above the map. Tap any junction number to open that junction’s own page.

Showing live speeds northbound. The map shows one direction at a time; tap the other button to switch. For both directions side by side, with every sign and incident, see the live M1 speed flow map.
